“Get anything new in?” This is a question we at Holiday Wine Cellar hear every day. It’s human nature to always want to try something new, something exciting. We are the same way, always on the hunt for an interesting new collaboration beer, vintage wine, or small batch bourbon.
Thanks to our thirst for new things, these inquisitive customers always have their options whenever they ask this question. On any given week, you can find dozens of new items in our store. Here are some that we are particularly excited about.
In hot caribbean countries, stouts are consumed like they are going out of style. Try this roasty, creamy, sweet, and silky smooth milk stout. Remember to pour hard, as this releases the nitrogen gas that gives the beer that creamy head and silky mouthfeel, plus, it looks great as it billows up the glass.
21st Amendment Hell Or High Watermelon
We just started carrying this San Francisco-based brewery, as they only recently began distributing to Southern California. This is an infinitely refreshing wheat beer brewed with watermelon that is the epitome of summer. Plus, it comes in cans. Enough Said.
Lelievre 2013 Cote de Toul Rose
For wine drinkers, summer is not summer without a light, crisp, refreshing rose bursting with notes of strawberry, raspberry, and sweet cherry. That is exactly what you have with the Lelievre 2013 Cote de Toul.
This is a wonderful summer wine, as it is full of flavors of seasonal fruit. These flavors include pear, guava, apple, melon, and lemon, which are complemented by a touch of toasted oak to lighten the acidity just a bit. Pair with grilled or seared salmon with a squeeze of lemon on a warm summer evening.
We just added two rums from Brinley Gold, a St. Kitts-based rum distillery. These include coconut and vanilla rums, which are the perfect mixing rums for summer or just for sipping over crushed ice.
Solbeso is a spirit that is distilled from the fruit of the cacao plant. Refreshing flavors of citrus, berries, and black pepper can be tasted in this unique spirit which falls in a class of its own. Yes, there is no chocolate flavor in this beverage, as it is the bean, and not the fruit of the cacao plant that goes into the production of chocolate.
